At The St Jerome’s Centre, we are committed to the health and wellbeing of all our children. Our Manager, Carl, provides regular pastoral care meetings giving each child the opportunity to talk about their concerns, worries and hopes for the future in a secure and safe space. We hope that The St Jerome’s Centre will give them the tools they deserve for a happy and brighter future.

Mary sadly lost her parents to HIV/ AIDS, which remains rife in Kenya. She was taken in by The St Jerome’s Centre in 2013. Mary is HIV positive but thanks the the generosity of our sponsors, she is able to receive the vital medical treatment she needs to live a healthy and happy life. Mary is currently attending the local primary school and her excellent grades reflect her hard work and dedication!

We are always amazed by the resilience of the children at The St Jerome’s Centre and these siblings have shown just that. After tragically losing both parents to an incident involving horrific domestic abuse, they were taken in as an emergency case by The St Jerome’s Centre to give them the love and care they needed. Alice and Daniel currently attend high school, whilst Samuel attends the local primary school. Alice has a natural talent for singing and even got to sing in front of the Vice President of Kenya as part of her school choir!

George was sadly forced to live on the streets after his mother abandoned him in Nakuru town. He was taken in by The St Jerome’s Centre in 2014 and has settled in amazingly well. He is a thoughtful and kind young man and is always happy to help out with various jobs around the home.
